Cepes
Cepes stir fried in olive oil and garlic - YUMMY!!!!
Mmm... les cèpes! They're the best... and girolles are delicious too. The other day, my hubby bought and cooked a plate for me too. Try adding some parsley. If you have a forest nearby you (you're at the foot of the Pyrénnéés aren't you?), why don't you go mushroom picking this season? If you're lucky you can find all sorts of mushrooms, including the cèpes of course, and it's free! First come, first served, usually! Then if you pick too many, you can can dry them, make preserves or just freeze them. Last year there weren't much in the forests I knew, but I have the feeling this year, there will be plenty..
I left my 15 year career in banking to be a SAHM to Lucas, my 2 year old baby. We moved to Tarbes, France to be with Luc's papa and are adjusting to a brand new life with unpredictable weather, lack of Asian food, a difficult new language, having to refine my driving skills, different culture and starting a new life all over. I am adjusting to not having a maid which means technically speaking I am the maid... My family and friends are far away and I am missing them.
I'm mad for Hugh Grant, Simon Baker, Sam Worthington, Adam Sandler, Gerard Butler; prefer McSteamy over McDreamy; Edward Cullen over Robert Pattinson; love romantic comedies and the occassional tearjerker; I speed read a book a day; haven't done any ironing for the past 2.5 years; prefer beaches to mountains; I sing in the shower(very badly!), am obsessed with my horrible toenails, love to shop and absolutely hate housework!
